Preparation for CrisisSubmitted on: October 28, 2014
As people of the Kingdom of God, we prepare for crisis by being prepared for the worst, but hoping for the best. We cannot be guided by fear when listening to news reports. While such reports let us know to make preparations, our actions must be grounded in the Word of God. In times of crisis throughout the Scripture we are taught that the Lord always cares for His people. The Psalmist David declares, “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein”(Psalm 24:1). The Lord, our God, is the Master Regulator! The only thing that will happen is what is in His Counsel for The good of the churches!!!
The children of Israel were led out of Egypt by the most dangerous route. “Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint.” (Deuteronomy 8:15). Yet, in that time of crisis, the Lord cared for His people. “Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end” (Verse 6) Whatever lies ahead in our future, we must fully put our trust in the Lord and have confidence knowing that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
And we can take that to the bank!
Praise The Lord!!!
